About Elizabeth Mulhare, LCSW
I hold a Masters in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University, and a Masters in Business Administration from Pace University. I have over 12 years experience as a therapist in private practice, and also worked for over 10 years at the New York Presbyterian Hospital Westchester Division.
During my time at NYP, and in my private practice, I have worked with individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder and Narcissistic Personality Disorder. I have also worked with individuals with a range of mood and anxiety disorders, and individuals who are self harming and suicidal. At NYP, I was the primary clinician for adult DBT, and greatly expanded the adult DBT program there.
I have completed advanced intensive trainings with Dr. Marsha Linehan, who developed DBT, and with Dr. Charles Swenson, an internationally recognized leader in the field. I was trained by Dr. Melanie Harned in using Prolonged Exposure Therapy to treat DBT patients who suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. At Columbia, I received direct training from Dr. Andre Ivanoff, a leading expert in DBT and president of Behavioral Tech LLC, the training organization founded by Dr. Linehan.
I continue to attend professional conferences and trainings in order to stay up to date with the latest developments and treatments in the field. I am committed to delivering cutting edge treatments to my clients.
